8th Anniversary at The Westin Beaver Creek

A few weekends back Hayden and I made our annual trip up to the mountains to celebrate our eight-year anniversary! Three of our eight anniversaries have been spent at our favorite place to cozy up for the weekend, the Westin Riverfront in Beaver Creek. It checks every one of our boxes and is the first place we went after getting engaged, so it holds a super special place for us. We got to the Westin on Friday afternoon and got settled into our room. We wanted to keep this night pretty low key, because after all, part of the reason […]

Beauty Travel Essentials

I have had a super busy summer of traveling and I’ve been trying to keep my skincare on the top of my priority list! There is nothing worse than walking off a flight with tight, dry skin that looks lifeless and tired. Today I’m going to be talking about my in-flight skincare essentials so that I walk off every plane feeling fresh and glowy. First things first, I disinfect my hands and my area of the plane before any skincare starts happening. Yep, I am totally that germaphobe who wipes down her area as soon as I sit. Maybe not […]

Staycation at Dove Inn

A couple weeks back Hayden and I had the pleasure of escaping to the Dove Inn in Golden, Colorado for a night. If you don’t know, the Dove Inn is an adorable boutique hotel that was built in 1866 and has been completely renovated while keeping that vintage feel. It’s somewhere between a bed and breakfast and an airbnb and it is absolutely adorable. The Dove Inn is very centrally located in Golden and is an extremely short walk from the main street, Washington, which has tons of restaurants and coffee shops, even a little park. We stayed in the […]

First Glossier Experience

As most of you know last week I was in California for a little vacation! My dad’s entire side of the family and my brother and his girlfriend live all over LA so I try to get out there at least once a year to see everyone. This time I went during the week, so while family was working during the day I had a little bit of time to myself to explore LA. One of the things on my list was to shop around on Melrose because the Glossier store was there. Where Do I Even Begin?   When […]

Weekend Getaway: Vegas

I am a weekend getaway junkie, and Vegas is one of my favorite short-trip destinations. It usually has inexpensive flights from Denver, you can always find a hotel deal, and there is so much to do when you’re there! Last week when my mom had to go there for work I decided to join her and extend the stay over the weekend. Here is a recap of our trip! Friday: I flew in Thursday evening and on Friday my mom had to work, so I had the day to myself. I was looking to zen out, so the first thing […]

Study Abroad in Photos: Italy

Well, its officially been two years since I started the biggest adventure of my life: studying abroad in Italy for four months! To some this may seem like no big deal, and to many this may seem like the biggest deal ever. For me, it was huge because I’m a total home body and extremely close with my family, so to up and leave the country for the first time in my life and be gone for four months was pretty ballsy on my part. To say this was the experience of a lifetime is an understatement. Not only did […]
