The Perfect Anniversary Present (If You Don’t Really Do Presents)

I decided I need to start doing way more posts that are smaller and more concise. I love doing really elaborate, in depth posts telling you guys everything I know about a topic, but those posts take so long that it limits my ability to post as much as I’d like!

So, without further adieu, this is my first attempt at a shorter, more compact post! Here goes nothing!

For those who don’t know, my boyfriend and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary this week! (The guy snatched me up when I was only 16!) For our anniversary we usually don’t do presents but instead try to do something to spend quality time together. This year we are going to the mountains for some serious RNR (I plan on doing an entire post about our getaway), but on Tuesday night we still decided to grab some sushi and hang out. I wanted to get him something really (really) little, and I got this idea because one of our shared interests is traveling. We have been fortunate to travel some pretty cool places together, so I thought I would add some enhancements to a cork board map I found at Hobby Lobby to map all our traveling adventures!

This cork board map was only $9.99 at Hobby Lobby! If something is ever full price there, they always have a 40% off coupon on their site!

All I did was paint the boarder black using acrylic paint..

And then wrote in my best calligraphy with a black sharpie, “our adventures”.

This cork board came with little push pins that I plugged into some of the places we’ve been, but I plan on buying some that are all one color (probably gold), so it looks more uniform and more my style.

There you have it! A small, quick, and easy anniversary present that says “I love you, but I’d rather spend our money on sushi dates and couples massages”.

Until next time!

xx,
