One of my favorite parts of the holidays are the mornings, when all the guys are on the couch watching football, and all the girls are in the kitchen making food, listening to Christmas music, and sipping cocktails. I started making this drink a few years back and its become sort of a tradition in our house! While this is just about as easy as it gets for a cocktail, its still so festive and delicious so I thought I’d share!
What you’ll need:
- Champagne
- Cranberry juice
- Cranberries
- Limes
- Sugar
- Toothpicks
Step One:
Cut a sliver of the lime and use it to rim the glass so that the sugar has something to stick to:
Step Two:
Pour some sugar onto a plate (I used a tupperware lid here), and dip your glass in the sugar:
Step Three:
Pour some bubbly! I don’t discriminate when it comes to champagne; this one is a cheap bottle from Costco. Add as much or as little as you’d like! **Protip: wine glasses can hold a lot more champagne than a champagne flute can.. just sayin..
Step Four:
Add your mix. I love cranberry juice and it makes this drink look so festive, but you could use pretty much anything you want. . Add as much or as little as you like!
Step Five:
Garnish by sticking a couple of cranberries on a toothpick and setting it on the glass! If it gets in the way while your drinking, you can always just drop it in the glass, too!
Step Six:
Enjoy! So easy, festive, and yummy!
